For a month, the host city of Munich welcomed fans from Germany and all over Europe to the European Championships. But it wasn't just the six matches in the Munich Arena that were highlights of the football summer. Whether in the Fan Zone in the Olympic Park with over 700,000 fans, the varied free supporting program in Munich's squares or the many other events - the whole of Munich was a meeting place for UEFA EURO 2024.

It wasn't just the six matches in the Munich Football Arena that had a European Championship atmosphere. The Fan Zone in the Olympic Park was the center of football and entertainment. The heart of the Fan Zone was the official public screening. The European Championship matches were broadcast live here.

There was also a free 31-day program with music, culture, art and lots of hands-on activities and sporting action. 30 bands played live in the Fan Zone at the Olympic Lake, including Moop Mama and Münchener Freiheit. There was also a mini football pitch, comedy shows, art activities, street dance, open-air cinema, workshops for children and much more ...

Whether at the Münchner Kindl on Marienplatz or the six colorful #hockdiher meeting benches: Here you could meet fans from all over the world and experience interesting discussions with guests from soccer and society. And the best thing is that some of the meeting benches will remain in the city even after the European Championships.

UEFA EURO 2024: These six matches took place in Munich

The UEFA EURO 2024 kicked off in Munich: In the opening match in the Munich Arena on June 14, the German national team defeated the visitors from Scotland. After the opening match, five more games took place in Munich, including the semi-final between the eventual European champions Spain and France.
