This is the Creative Hub in the Ruffini Houses

The renovated Ruffini Houses now also offer a so-called Creative Hub: Since December 2020, companies and creative professionals have taken up residence in the historic buildings. The users come from a wide range of fields - from design to software and music to film.

History: Where the Ruffini Houses get their name from

The houses were named after Johann Baptista Ruffini, a prominent salt merchant in Upper Bavaria. The Ruffini house on Sendlingerstraße was built in 1905 by Gabriel von Seidl, and its facade is richly adorned with frescoes up to the roof. Today, it's home to a tourism office and part of the human resources and organizational departments for the city of Munich.

The center is located in the courtyard with tower

The group of three houses on Rindermarkt, with its ornate facades and frescoes, is one of the city's gems. The three houses, built in a triangular layout with different characters, wind around a small tower that is only visible from the inner courtyard. The picturesque building was designed with great attention to detail and is part of Munich's city history.

Two-year renovation of the Ruffini House

From 2018 to 2020, the Ruffinihaus underwent extensive renovation - including work on structural engineering, fire protection and other technical aspects.

With one exception, the original tenants returned to the building after the construction work was completed. The work, during which the building was also largely scaffolded, took around two years and cost over 34 million euros.
