Tollwood Winter Festival at a glance: Opening hours

• Opening hours: Monday 2 p.m. - 10:30 p.m., Tuesday through Friday 2 p.m. - 11:30 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m. - 11:30 p.m., Sunday 11 a.m. - 10:30 p.m., on Tuesday, December 23 2 p.m. - 10 p.m.
• Market of ideas: In tents and at outdoor stands, there will be sustainable arts and crafts and organic gastronomy from all over the world.
• Admission to the festival grounds and most of the events and performances is free.
• How to get there: Take the U4/U5 to Theresienwiese station
• Preview: Tickets are already available for the Summer Festival 2025 (19.6.-20.7.) in the Olympiapark.

Perchten on December 7 at the Tollwood

On Saturday, December 7, the Perchten will be up to mischief from 6 pm. The Rottaler Habergoaß, Hexn and Rauwuggl will then bring luck and blessings to the Winter Festival with their elaborate costumes according to old Alpine tradition.

The spectacle lasts a good hour, during which the Perchten lead the audience to the fire show area in front of the main entrance, where the Perchten run comes to a brilliant conclusion with a dance around the flames.

The Christmas market of ideas

At the Christmas market of ideas with the two tents Bazar and Mercato and the outdoor stalls, there are handmade unique items, creative arts and crafts, clothing and original jewelry, especially products from recycling and upcycling.

The Magic Forest is a sporty place: you can play curling on plastic lanes while enjoying mulled wine and apple strudel. And of course you can fill your belly: in the food plaza and the dining room as well as in the market tents, there are sweet and savory specialties from around 20 countries, from vegan bowls and cheese spatzn to classic bratwurst - all in organic quality.

Circus programs and New Year's Eve party

Three circus programs can be seen at the “Festival du Cirque” in the Grand Chapiteau theater tent:

• The French-Italian company Circo Zoé will take you into a circus world between dream and reality with “Deserance” (26.11.-8.12.).
• The Australian group Circa presents the visionary show “Human 2.0”, in which human bodies are pushed to their limits (10.-14.12.).
• The company 7 Fingers will be traveling from Canada: In “Duel Reality”, acrobatics and love merge in their interpretation of Romeo and Juliet. (17.-22.12.)

With live bands and DJs, Tollwood bids farewell to the old year with the New Year's Eve party on December 31 on the Theresienwiese. The highlight is the midnight waltz in all the tents and the fireworks on the outdoor area. Tickets for these events are available from M-Ticket.

Concert tent, children's tent and performances

Live music from disco-pop to indie, swing & Latin to classic rock every day in the Hexenkessel tent with free admission! Children have their own tent with arts and crafts and bedtime stories. There will also be free performances, artistry, art and events on the festival grounds.
