Paulaner Festzelt: Oktoberfest tradition meets modern technology
The Paulaner Festzelt, formerly known as the “Winzerer Fähndl”, has been at the Oktoberfest since 1885. Its unmistakable landmark, the giant jug, floated above the tent for the first time in 1950. Just one year later, a tower was built on the tent and a rotating Keferloher was placed on top.
Today, the new Paulaner Festzelt, which was completely renovated and rebuilt in 2010, is equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The beer is served particularly quickly in this tent: Thanks to an underground beer pipeline, up to 15 Maß per minute can be drawn from one tap.
Atmosphere in the Paulaner Festzelt

Many regular guests gather in the lovingly decorated tent every year, which is why the seats are often fully booked months before the Oktoberfest begins. The audience is a colorful mix: during the day it can be a little more cozy, but in the evening the atmosphere in the tent rises with the traditional Oktoberfest hits. The party band Nachtstark from Munich provides the party and beer atmosphere. The large span allows a clear view of the music and the action in the tent from all sides.
