Hacker-Festzelt: The sky of the Bavarians in the tent roof
The festival tent has been at home at the Oktoberfest since 1894. Its interior design reflects the brewery's slogan “Bavarian heaven”. It has combined tradition and modernity since it was rebuilt in 2016. The sliding pitched roof, which has ventilation beams that can be opened at any time, is technically innovative. This ensures better ventilation. In addition, the heavenly canopy can be opened so that the tent backdrop offers a view of the real Munich starry sky, weather permitting.
There is also a revolving pavilion for the band in the Hacker-Festzelt. On its roof, figures of the famous Munich Schäffler stand around the wreath woven for their traditional dance. The tent is also framed by a 2,000 square meter painting by Rudi Reinstadler depicting everyday scenes from Munich.
Atmosphere in the Hacker-Festzelt: classics, rock and a glowing finale

During the day, "die Kirchdorfer" provide traditional brass band music and Oktoberfest classics. In the evening, the music ranges from lively to rocking. Party bands such as the rock'n'rollers from Cagey Strings get the tent in the mood.
The audience is a colorful mix: from regulars to young party people, everything is represented here. The final party on the last day of the Oktoberfest is also very popular. For the grand finale, countless sparklers sparkle under the Bavarian sky, which are distributed to the guests beforehand.
